Who I Is

I'm just an old(er) Rugby player from Northern Iowa who has gained a great deal from the sport of Rugby, and like to share my love of this sport with family, friends, and other Ruggers. If you have some time, check out my links on the right side of this page. In the Flickr photo albums there are over 2,000 pics from past Rugby trips I've taken, and from my hometown team, River City Rugby. There's also some great videos on the YouTube link! If you want to learn more about Golden Oldies Rugby be sure to click on that link as well. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy what I post here. I am on Facebook too, so look me up and add me if you'd like. Cheers!

A Shout Out to a Scotland "Dog"

A pretty common occurrence at the Festivals are players not on our roster to join up with us and play a match or two. In Edinburgh, a young gentleman by the name of Luke Hayes volunteered to play some with us if we needed extras. If memory serves, he played at least two of our matches with us, thus becoming an Honorary Dog. I actually found Luke on Facebook when I returned from that tour and we communicate once in awhile. He sent me a message that he was following this blog, so I just wanted to give him a shout out. I hope we can meet up at a future Festival and have a few cold ones. Luke is the player in the foreground of this photo with the Samurai headband on waiting to tackle an opponent in our first match in Edinburgh.

Cheers Luke!
