Who I Is

I'm just an old(er) Rugby player from Northern Iowa who has gained a great deal from the sport of Rugby, and like to share my love of this sport with family, friends, and other Ruggers. If you have some time, check out my links on the right side of this page. In the Flickr photo albums there are over 2,000 pics from past Rugby trips I've taken, and from my hometown team, River City Rugby. There's also some great videos on the YouTube link! If you want to learn more about Golden Oldies Rugby be sure to click on that link as well. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy what I post here. I am on Facebook too, so look me up and add me if you'd like. Cheers!

I'm Still Here!

Since arriving back in the "States" after our tour to Australia for the World Golden Oldies Rugby Festival last Fall my postings have been few and far between. That is due in part to a couple things. The first is that this blog was created to keep friends and family updated while I was "on the road", so, since I haven't had any Rugby trips of late, fewer posts. The second reason is because I actually keep quite busy with work, family, and my local rugby team, River City Rugby.

We did have our 5th Annual Old Boys Clash on May 28th, and it was another fun event for our alumni and other "older" players from around the Midwest. Here is a link to the Flickr photo album from the day's events:

Over the next several months our Club will be planning the 40th Anniversary for River City Rugby that will be held next year. I am very much looking forward to this event. I'm thinking we will probably combine it with our 6th Annual Old Boys Clash, so promises to be a great time for everyone!

Thanks to one and all who still stop by here once in awhile to check for new postings. I'll attempt to be a better blogger in the future, and hope my ramblings here are enjoyed by one and all. Have a GREAT Summer!!  Bill
