Who I Is

I'm just an old(er) Rugby player from Northern Iowa who has gained a great deal from the sport of Rugby, and like to share my love of this sport with family, friends, and other Ruggers. If you have some time, check out my links on the right side of this page. In the Flickr photo albums there are over 2,000 pics from past Rugby trips I've taken, and from my hometown team, River City Rugby. There's also some great videos on the YouTube link! If you want to learn more about Golden Oldies Rugby be sure to click on that link as well. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy what I post here. I am on Facebook too, so look me up and add me if you'd like. Cheers!

Our Week in Sydney

This is basically our itinerary for the Festival week:

Sunday 26th: Team meeting, parade, opening ceremonies, drinking and having a good time.

Monday 27th: First game, drinking and having good time. Evening free.

Tuesday 28th: Day free, evening boat tour around Sydney Harbour.

Wednesday 29th: Second game, drinking and having good time. Evening free.

Thursday 30th: Picnic day to wine country, pub crawl in evening.

Friday 1st: Third and final game, drinking and having good time. Team dinner in evening with weekly awards.

Saturday 2nd: Day free. Grand finale dinner drinking and dancing and trading.

Sunday 3rd: Head home for those of us that have to work for a living.

For our Team Dinner on Friday we are booking a small banquet room at The Rugby Club in the central business district of downtown Sydney. Looks like the perfect place for us Dogs to meet up and look back on the week that was over drinks and fine food. Here is a link to The Rugby Club:

In Edinburgh we had our end of the week team dinner at La Piazza, a nice Italian restruant a short walk from our 2 star hotel, The Clarendon.

In San Diego we had our team dinner at a Hooters downtown. If memory serves, we went through about $500 worth of wings and beer. Good times!
